Instructions for X-Cell Rechargeable Handlamp LED Conversion

Models: 2500H, 550H and 800H

Sabre and MIL range (toggle switch) need different instructions.

The LED conversion unit replaces the existing bulb and bulb holder assembly.

Remove the existing bulb holder as follows:

  1. Check handlamp switch is in the off position.
  2. Remove lens unit by sharply pulling white rim – see Figure 1.
  3. Rotate bulb holder approximately half a turn anti-clockwise and gently pull back and away from reflector – see Figure 2.
  4. Remove connecting wires by carefully pulling away from bulb holder contacts.
IMPORTANT

THE LED CONVERSION UNIT IS POLARITY SENSITIVE AND MUST BE CONNECTED CORRECTLY OR IT WILL BE DESTROYED INSTANTLY.

Fit the new LED unit as follows:

  1. Locate lead "A" as shown in Figure 3 – it's the one connected to the corner of the battery plate (see "B" in Figure 3).
  2. Connect lead "A" to the contact in the RED side of the bulb holder.
  3. Connect the other lead to the contact in the white side.
  4. Refit bulb holder into reflector by carefully locating the peg in the reflector into the slot in the holder.
  5. Switch on to focus before replacing lens – shine the light onto an object around 7m away and rotate bulb holder in either direction (Figure 2). Be careful not to press the metal bulb contacts together when making this adjustment.
